醫療社會學專題討論 |
|
課程目標 |
這門針對研究所學生所設計的專題討論，著力介紹批判取向的醫療/健康社會學核心概念與議題。課程設計分為「社會脈絡與健康不平等」、「健康實作與經驗」、「健康照護的社會組織」三大主題。在選文與分析概念上，除了介紹英語世界文獻的重要著作，也著重透過台灣和東亞研究挖掘重要的在地題材與理論創新。本門課力求掌握當今醫療/健康社會學的基本輪廓，並透過經典著作的選讀，強化理論與現象的扣合。這門課期許同學能夠豐富研究健康與社會的分析工具箱，培養獨立研究的能力。上課將藉由研究案例的討論與期末報告的執行，討論進行相關研究的方式。 |

課程要求 |
這門課要求每位參與者事先詳細閱讀必讀資料，並於上課前準備好一至兩頁的心得報告，至少在課前星期二17:00上傳到NTU COOL課程網站上的作業區，以能讓老師事前閱讀，會有助於準備課堂上的討論。由於上課著重於討論，因此旁聽生也要能繳交心得，才能旁聽。閱讀心得長約一至兩頁，建議包含以下三部分：（一）最有啟發的核心論點：請就本次閱讀的核心論點，提出你覺得最有啟發的部分。用你自己的語言，簡要說明此論點的內容，然後告訴我們為何這對你最有啟發。（二）舉一反三：請就這個最有啟發論點，以你所熟悉的經驗現象加以闡明。這些論點的原作者可能是以英國的睡眠剝奪、美國的專業擴權，或是台灣的廚房即藥局作為現象而發展，而心得中可以討論這些論點與觀察，如何也有助於呼應或深化自己所關懷的其他經驗現象。（三）提問：如果有任何不清楚、或是想要在課堂上進一步討論的問題，請予以說明。閱讀心得要在充分閱讀之後撰寫，以自己如何能有收穫與成長，最為重要。本門課不強調比武競賽，而重視學習歷程的怦然心動，所以請不用為了製造看似亮麗的心得，而沒讀教材、只閱讀(並翻譯摘要)書評。
本堂課的上課方式，很重視同學們積極地參與，主動進行思辨與與討論，共同經營全學期的課程。這堂課採用Sherry Turkle的理念，上課時間除非因為課堂設計（例如線上教學、進行Kahoot），禁止使用筆電、手機等行動上網科技，實體上課時也請以手寫筆記，除非有特殊情況，則請老師說明。有關Sherry Turkle的理念，可參考她的著作《重新與人對話》，以及短講「有連線，卻孤單」：https://www.ted.com/talks/sherry_turkle_alone_together?language=zh-tw
期末成果發表，則請大家發展、探索自己感興趣的研究主題，完成八千字到一萬字的研究報告，並在課堂上以PPT的方式進行口頭報告。旁聽生不用進行期末報告，但希望可以提供交流意見。PPT請於6/1上課前上傳。紙本報告請於6/10 17:00以前上傳。
這門課的評分方式為課堂參與（每週心得、上課討論等）60%，期末研究報告40％。課程作業請遵守基本的研究倫理、學術倫理。若有抄襲等事宜，該作業以零分計算。
